This page describes how Firezone works today. A lawyer has not reviewed it yet; if the review changes anything, we'll tell you before the change takes effect.
Who we are
Firezone is a service for musicians, singers and anyone who sings together: a song library and stage view for musicians, and live sessions in which singers follow the words on their phones and any screen shows them. These terms apply to everyone who uses it. Firezone is sold by:
- Company
- MediaMax ApS
- CVR number
- 43055593
- Address
- Græsmarken 24, 4140 Borup
- info@mediamax.dk
Your account
You need an account to keep songs and to lead live sessions. Anyone can create one with their email address, which they confirm before they start. Keep your password to yourself, and turn on two-step login if you can: you are responsible for what is done with your account. You can export your data and delete your account at any time in your settings.
Invited musicians and singers need no account to take part in a live session.
Your songs
Upload only charts you have the right to use: songs you wrote yourself, songs in the public domain, or songs you have a licence or permission for. Your charts stay yours, or their rights holders'. We keep them only to show them to you, your team and the people you let into your live sessions, and to keep your devices in step.
Credits (songwriters, copyright, CCLI number) are shown with every song, on charts, phones, screens and PDFs. Keep them correct.
Teams and sharing
A song is seen only inside the team that owns it, and by the people its leader lets into a live session, for that session. Songs are never shared between teams, and joining someone's session never copies their charts into your library. When a session ends, the copies on guests' devices are removed.
The shared “find a song” catalogue holds credits only (titles, artists, songwriters, CCLI numbers), never the words.
Live sessions
The leader of a session decides who gets the invite link, the control link and the join code, and can replace them at any time. A session ends when its leader ends it, or after 12 hours. If you show lyrics to people in public, for example in a church or at an event, you may need a licence from the rights holders or a collecting society such as Koda: that is the responsibility of whoever leads the session.
What you may not do
- Upload or show songs you have no right to use.
- Use Firezone to harass anyone, or to share anything unlawful.
- Try to get into other teams' songs, or into parts of Firezone that aren't yours.
- Overload Firezone, or read it with automated tools beyond normal use.
- Sell or pass on access to Firezone as if it were your own service.
Taking songs down
Rights holders can ask for a song to be taken down (see copyright and takedown). We take down songs that break these terms or the law, and we may close the account of anyone who keeps uploading songs without the right to use them.
Plans and payment
Firezone's plans and what they cost are on the pricing page. Personal is free.
Payment and cancellation
- Gatherings is a subscription for a team, paid in advance, monthly or yearly, through Stripe. It renews automatically at the end of each period until it is cancelled.
- Prices are in Danish kroner and include Danish VAT. You buy from the seller named under “Who we are”.
- The team's owner can cancel at any time under “Manage billing”. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period already paid for: the team keeps Gatherings until then, and there is no refund for the rest of the period.
- As a consumer, you may also withdraw within 14 days and be refunded: see the right of withdrawal below.
- The free trial lasts 14 days and needs no card. If no card has been added when it ends, it ends by itself: nothing is charged, and the team goes back to Personal. Each team gets the trial once.
- If a payment fails, Stripe tries again, and the team keeps Gatherings for 14 days. If it is still not paid by then, the team falls back to Personal until the payment goes through.
- Invited musicians and singers never pay.
Right of withdrawal
This section follows the EU's model instructions on withdrawal, adapted to Firezone. Like the rest of this page, a lawyer has not reviewed it yet.
When you buy a plan as a consumer, the following applies.
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day the subscription is made: the day you start the plan, or its free trial.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (MediaMax ApS, Græsmarken 24, 4140 Borup, info@mediamax.dk) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by a clear statement, for example a letter sent by post or an email. You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is enough for you to send your message about exercising the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
The plan starts at once, because you ask for that when you start it. If you then withdraw, you shall pay us an amount which is in proportion to what has been provided until you have told us that you withdraw, in comparison with the full period you paid for. During the free trial, that amount is nothing.
Cancelling under “Manage billing” only stops the plan from renewing at the end of the period. To withdraw and be refunded, tell us as described above.
Model withdrawal form
Complete and send this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract. Copy it into an email to us, fill it in, and delete what doesn't apply.

Availability
Firezone is developed continuously and changes often. We work to keep it running and your songs safe, and the stage view keeps working without a network, but we cannot promise that Firezone is always available or without faults. Export your library now and then to keep your own copy.
Changes to these terms
We tell you before changes to these terms take effect, by email if you have an account. Which law applies, and where disputes are settled, will be stated here after legal review.
